Welcome to the Keystone Hikers!

We organize hiking and camping events in Philadelphia and surrounding areas. If you know a great spot for a hike, please post it on the message board or send me an email. Also send me a note if you are interested in organizing events for the group. I will most definitely need help!

It is important to read your emails, view the calendar and read the message board frequently to stay updated. Although we hope to only have rare cancellations or schedule changes, it's always a good idea to check before you head to the meetup location. If you have questions about our group or any of our meetups please post on the message board or email me directly.

Event Fees:
At hiking events, I may collect a small event fee, usually $2.00, to help defray my costs in running this group. For camping events, the campsite fee must be paid upfront, so there will be a payment link on the event page.

About our Organizers:
Each event is organized independently. If you have a question regarding a particular event, make sure to contact the organizer for that particular event directly. They are the only ones that can answer specific questions about the event.

We try to describe the hikes to the best of our ability, and stick to the description as much as possible, since that is what people signed up for, but occasionally the plan will need to be changed due to circumstances outside of our control, like trail closures, bad weather, or other unforeseen reasons.

Rules, Policies and other Information for our Members:

Participation in our events is at the discretion of the event organizer. Members that are not respectful of the group, its members, or the organizers are not welcome at our events. Additionally, if you wish to attend an overnight you must day hike with us at least once before the event.

Come prepared with the right gear, especially boots/shoes, and enough food and water. These needs are different for everyone, so if you are not sure what to bring, contact the organizer of the particular event and ASK.

Everyone who hikes with us MUST be a member of Keystone Hikers. No exceptions, sorry.

RSVP Information
RSVP responsibly. Please be respectful to the event organizers and change your RSVP if your plans change. The organizers keep a list of "no shows" that they share with each other. Repeated "no shows" may be removed from group.
