I checked with Colleen to see if she minded that we do different hikes on the same day. She's ok with it so let's hike.
This hike is about 10 miles total with about 2000 feet of elevation gain and starts at 10 a.m. promptly. Starting in the Dunnfield Creek Parking Area click here for the location, we will begin by climbing on the steep, rocky red-dot trail to Mt Tammany (elev 1527'.) After a short rest, we will continue on the blue-dot trail down to the intersection with the green Dunnfield Hollow Trail. We will continue along the Dunnfield Hollow Trail, crossing the Dunnfield Creek several times before we begin our climb to Sunfish Pond. From Sunfish Pond, we will return to our vehicles via the Appalachian Trail.
Bring plenty of provsions. Pets are welcome for this hike. No guests.
As usual, I will be asking for a $1 donation (optional) at the beginning of the hike. Everyone who wants to go on the hike MUST be a member of Keystone Hikers. Anyone who has questions, concerns or needs directions can contact me through this site.
Hope to see ya there, Tim.
