AT Hike - PA 225 to PA 325 (Clark Creek), 9.5 miles

No location was chosen

Let's head out on another section of the AT!

This section is mostly ridge walk, not much elevation change, but my book rates it moderate because it is, surprise, rocky! I think it will be fairly easy. Famous last words!

We'll hike at a steady pace, taking short breaks as needed. I expect this will take 4 hours (5 hours max.) This will be a half-day outing.

Bring food and water and dress appropriately for the weather.

We'll meet at the spot marked PA 325 parking on this map, drop a car or two and drive over to the trailhead at PA 225.

Dogs are welcome.

$1 donation much appreciated.

As always, this hike is new to me: I rarely hike the same trail twice, so it is always an adventure.

The boy and I are supposed to be ice climbing this weekend. Bahahaha! If our plans fall through, I'd love to join you, Christine....my "neighbor" whom I haven't seen since you've moved to Central PA.

Christine, we're still undecided if we're heading north tomorrow. If I'm not at the trail head tomorrow morning, please don't wait for me.

    Hi guys,
Unfortunately I lost my way and got there around 8:15... to be greeted by empty cars. Next time I shall drive to the site with a lot of extra time in hand. Hope to see you again soon.

That happened to me once and I called the leader. He gave me directions.

Nice hike, Christine. Thank you for organizing and leading. It was a great day to be in the woods. I enjoyed hiking and talking with people that I had not hiked with for awhile and meeting new people. Mollie enjoyed herself as well!!
